We’re thrilled to announce the next generation of Warehouse Connectors. Over the past year, we’ve collaborated closely with customers to refine our warehouse offering. This helped us target the iterations that best help make Mixpanel a powerful, trustworthy, and complete analytics solution.
Our biggest enhancement, Mirror mode, enables you to automatically sync accurate, holistic warehouse data to enrich Mixpanel analysis and get deeper insights into what’s driving customer impact.
This perfect sync means you can apply everything you love about product analytics—speed, intuitive UI, and flexibility—to any customer data from your warehouse, not just clickstream interactions. With accurate, unified product and business data at your fingertips, you no longer need to bug your data team with ad hoc requests or double-check if numbers match.
In this post, we’ll introduce both the unlocked business use cases and the powerful data capabilities that make it all possible, without any tradeoffs on performance, breadth of analysis, or compute costs.
Self-serve answers from unified product and business data
In the past, product and marketing teams had to choose between speed or completeness when digging into data. Traditional product analytics offers fast answers, but on siloed product data. For complete customer insights, you need to access centralized data in your warehouse, which requires SQL skills or asking technical stakeholders.
Mixpanel’s Warehouse Connectors makes it easy to completely self-serve answers by providing access to unified product and end-to-end customer data.

From the hundreds of customers using our connectors today, here’s some top use cases:
- Segment better with CRM data. Enrich analyses with critical customer or account data. Understand engagement and retention across different subscription plans.
- Merge client-side context with warehouse data. Borrowed Properties enables you to get client-side properties like location, URL, or UTM tags on warehouse events like "order placed" or "signup." P.S.: You can do this merging all on the fly, which data teams love.
- Dive into transactional data. Analyze purchase data that stays up to date, regardless of reconciliations for refunds, fraud, cancellations, etc. Explore how spend compares across first-time vs. power users or the difference in average order value between customers who do or don’t engage with a feature.
- Measure impact on outcomes like support tickets. See the relationship between feature engagement and support tickets filed or impact on average NPS. Calculate the impacted revenue of drop-off at a critical point in your funnel.
- Understand acquisition with marketing data. Compare channel performance with side-by-side metrics on ROAS, CPC, and more. Attribute which campaigns brought in the most users who retained after a month.

It’s also a win-win when product teams can self-serve answers from unified data because it also saves analysts from endless requests. Using Warehouse Connectors, Taxfix was able to reduce ad hoc SQL queries by 40%.
"We can now take advantage of augmenting our profile and event data with information from backend systems that our traditional tracking does not cover. Now our product managers are empowered to confidently understand product success at a truly rapid pace."
Guarantee data accuracy
Warehouse Connectors doesn't just make it faster for stakeholders to get answers—it drastically reduces the workload for data teams since Mixpanel automatically stays in perfect sync.
Setting up Mixpanel is as easy as creating the source connection, pointing at the right table, and voila. You can go from raw data to powerful dashboards in 15 minutes.
The real magic lies in our latest enhancement, Mirror, a new sync mode. Any time data updates in your underlying warehouse, that change is automatically reflected in Mixpanel through change data capture (CDC). Whether you’re iteratively implementing, renaming or adding/removing columns, or reconciling transactions, rest assured that Mixpanel will reflect any changes over time.

This guaranteed data trust saves your data team future headaches and enables stakeholders to move faster when they don’t have to double-check accuracy.
"It slows everyone down when people have to ask, 'Does this number match?' By being in sync with the source of truth, Warehouse Connectors enables that data trust in Mixpanel and helps everyone move faster.”
Make no trade-offs on power, performance, or participation
Bringing warehouse data into Mixpanel for analysis offers three critical advantages over directly querying the warehouse:
- No analysis limitations. This isn’t Mixpanel Lite; it’s the real deal. Anything you expect to do in product analytics you can do with warehouse data in Mixpanel. Dig into funnels, segment by new users, calculate sums—nothing is off limits.
- More performant queries. Mixpanel runs on our purpose-built database (Arb) that executes complex queries much faster and cheaper than queries run directly in a warehouse. There's no spinning icon of doom waiting for a funnel to load. Plus, cheaper queries for Mixpanel are passed on as lower costs for customers.
- Everyone can participate. Pricing isn’t based on seats or queries because our goal is to increase access to data. More people answering more questions will not translate to skyrocketing warehouse compute costs or haggling over seats at every renewal.
Speaking of no trade-offs: Keeping your data safe is one of our biggest priorities. Mixpanel is SOC2, ISO27001, and ISO27701 certified. We safeguard data in a variety of ways, including continual server and infrastructure monitoring, encrypting application data, and routine independent audits. Getting started
They say the devil is in the details, but the more your data team digs into the details, the more they’ll love it. We’ve invested in leapfrogging the traditional product analytics data model in order to make it as easy as possible to get trusted, unified data into Mixpanel for analysis.
