When you connect through MCP, your Mixpanel data is sent to whichever AI provider you're using, like Claude, ChatGPT, etc. We recommend reviewing that provider's data handling policies before connecting to projects with sensitive data. On the Mixpanel side, all existing access controls remain in effect, and MCP must be explicitly enabled by an org admin before anyone can use it. Note: MCP Server does not currently support HIPAA requirements and is not covered by Mixpanel's BAA.
