Example in Mixpanel

Mixpanel is super simple, flexible and robust. We previously used a very centralized approach with Tableau, where only the data team was able to produce complex reports. The shift to Mixpanel proved to be a huge game-changer that helped us 2.5x on Black Friday. The real time, decentralized approach so everyone has the ability to create reports, the ease of use - all made our team much more data savvy than before.

It enabled us to quickly react to change in our subscription funnel and optimize it in real time. Easy to produce AB test boards proved to be a huge win for us.

Example user purchase flow in Mixpanel.

I liked the ability to write notes and pin it. I also love the Metric Trees feature added because not everyone really recalls the baseline metrics while seeing the performance dashboards.

[Mixpanel solves the problem of] seeing the large volume of ecommerce data across time, multiple events, customers at different buying stages. This helps to make the marketing decisions, VM decisions in the real time.

Put data in the hands of the people who own revenue

I love the super clean and easy-to-use UI of Mixpanel, which means everyone on the team can answer their data questions without needing a data scientist or using SQL queries. I find the live data updates particularly valuable, allowing us to see live updates as things go on. This is paramount at an ecommerce company. Initial setup was very easy, and with 100+ people using it at my company, it’s been practical for all.
